Double Rainbow

We have the most amazing rainbows in California! This one led us off
in search of gold for hours, but we never found it ;-(

Make believe

I love this shot- I love the creativeness of my children- They turn
the most ordinary objects into the most whimsical inventions.

Spring snow and signs of summer

Off for a beautiful hike, after days of snow we were surprised when
it was 75* outside. So we went down this trail and discovered that
spring was in full bloom! The apple trees were blossoming, the mints
were growing. Daffodils and bluebells everywhere! We didn't go far
enough to find the nettles, maybe next time.
Today was not as exciting. The weather kept us inside and we
did some painting. - pictures to follow!

HAPPY EASTER 2010

Note the near white out conditions! The funniest part about this picture is that this is the most snow we got at our house all winter long!! It has certainly snowed on easter before- but not like this!!
I should have not spent all that time dyeing those eggs because it would have been quite a challenge just to find normal eggs in this snow!

Grandma's birthday

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Trouble?

Thanks to big sister for a wild crazy toy for the mountain children!

Gearing up for summer!

Spring in Northern California!

Here we are enjoying the early spring weather.. Gotta love this area! We are so lucky to have such great places to wander on sunny days! The boys are getting big and going for walks is more interesting every time. This day we raced sticks downstream, and chased after them. We did the whole loop for the first time, and everyone was still in a good mood when we got back to the car!

Santa's coming tonight....

All the kids are snuggled down in their bed. We set out plenty of
snacks for Santa and his reindeer. After tracking him all evening on
NORAD and watching Frosty the snowman the littles are so worn out and
excited for tomorrow!
